Anti-Doping
Doping is the administration of a prohibited substance and/or method to enhance performance or recovery. It undermines the integrity of sport, the ethos of competition and potentially would allow science to determine sporting results. It can adversely affect the health and well-being of athletes.
For these reasons many countries, including the UK, supported the creation of the World Anti-Doping Agency which had developed a set of codes for which all sports must now comply.
British Bobsleigh fully supports a strong anti-doping culture within competitive sport.
All members of British Bobsleigh who participate in competitive bobsleigh events are subject to anti-doping testing both in and out of competition.
