The organisations listed are independent and not part of British Bobsleigh. It is important that prospective participants make their own enquiries about an organisation before making a decision on whether to participate in Bobsleighing with them. Possible areas of enquiry could include amongst others the following:

• whether the club has insurance which covers participants or whether participants must take out their own insurance;
• obtaining details of the club's safety record;
• obtaining details of the club's safety procedures;
• finding out the number of staff supervising bobsleigh activities;
• enquiring as to what medical facilities the club provides; and
• fully understanding the financial commitment and risks involved in the proposed activities.

It is particularly important that prospective participants ensure that prior to travel they either take out their own comprehensive insurance or are certain that they are fully covered by the relevant club's own insurance.

Although British Bobsleigh keeps details of member clubs it does not have a club accreditation system or physically inspect any of its members and therefore membership of British Bobsleigh is not a guarantee that the provider will be suitable which should be a matter for the prospective participants' own enquiries.

Neither will British Bobsleigh nor any of its directors, employees or other representatives be liable for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the use of this website, whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise. This is a comprehensive limitation of liability that applies to all damages of any kind, including (without limitation) compensatory, direct, indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties.
