Gomer Lloyd has almost 25 years experience in the field of coaching and has worked with athletes from several nations during this time.

Following nine years with the Canadian team he moved to Monaco where he coached for nine years before spending a further two years working with the Italian teams.

Gomer's personal bobsleigh career spanned 14 years having first been introduced to the sport in 1969 through the British military. He became one of the first non-commissioned officers to bobsleigh and competed at three Winter Olympic Games as a brakeman and one as a driver. Gomer was nine times British Champion, the last of these titles coming six years after he officially retired from the sport.

He has been involved in the development of many top ranked bobsledders, including World and Winter Olympic silver medallist, Canadian, Pierre Lueders.

Gomer will be working with BobTeamGB as Head Ice Coach up until Vancouver 2010, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and an unrivalled passion for the sport.
