Bobsleigh Ice Coach

Involved in bobsleigh since 1990, Peter represented Great Britain for six years with career highlights including becoming British Champion and a 4th place finish in the Europa Cup on his favourite track, Cortina. His last competitive outing was in 2003 when he won the Army Championships.

Peter began coaching with the Army in 1994 and was ice coach and manager for the British men's Europa Cup team from 1997-2000, also coaching the Netherlands men's team in 1998 as part of a partnership programme between GB and the Netherlands.

He first became involved in coaching and managing the British women's team in 2000 and has been fundamental in the development of British women's bobsleigh. He coached both the British and Dutch women's teams in the 2000-2001 season and since then has been involved with the British men, and women's teams, on the World Cup and Europa Cup circuits.

He has coached at the past two Winter Olympic Games and was assistant Ice Coach to the leading Womens Team when they took World Championship Silver in 2005.

Outside of bobsleigh Peter has competed at and coached biathlon, is a qualified skiing instructor and has also coached squash.

Peters role in BobTeamGB is as Ice Coach. He brings with him a wealth of experience, his technical knowledge of bobsleigh and bobsleigh mechanics as well as his video analysis skills.
