Whistler Olympic Village

Team Walker blog...
Life in the village is good so far, we are settled in, unpacked and finding our bearings. We are in a 6 bed town house on the outskirts of the athlete?s village with our bedroom window looking into the woods. We arrived to discover even more gifts sitting on our beds waiting for us, including a panasonic digital camera! Team GB stickers are on the garage doors so there?s no mistaking our houses with red, white and blue lights outside the HQ. We eat in the main food hall where there is just about anything you want, there?s a large gym and a few places where athletes can relax and play games.
We have a little training ahead of us, but nothing too hard as we start to rest up. Our sled is unpacked and in its new home for the next 2 weeks. Tomorrow is our first visit to the track since coming back and we start sliding on Saturday. It snowed quite a lot last night and there?s some fog sitting around so it will be interesting to see what its like at the track on Blackcombe Mountain. Until next time?.
