Sunny Winter Olympics
22 February 2010
Team Walker blog...
With four training runs under our belts we finally feel like bobsledders again....apart from the bizare weather!! Its brilliantly sunny here in Whistler, and around the 13 degrees.
Training has been exciting because the track is extremely fast - one thing for sure is that the race will be fascinating to watch, just getting down is proving to be more difficult than ever.
The 1st day of mens training was carnage with 10 sleds out of 30 crashing. Even after 6 training runs before the race there were still 4 crashes in the race.
We have 4 training runs left before our race which starts @ 1700 local time (0100 GBR time)
So far training has been going ok, a little ropey to begin with but every other nation is in the same boat.
Just off to train now will keep you all posted!!!
Cheers Paula xx
