Girls take 1st Place at Push Start Comp in Berlin

07 January 2005

Berlin: 12.06.04

International Push Competition.

Nicola Gautier and Jackie Davies, joined forces once again . The last time they paired up was in Nov 2002 when they set (and still hold) a new start record.

There was a slight change for this competition as there were to be three heats, all to count. Rather than three, two to count. This left no room for error.

Although not many international teams turned up,the German teams (who as a rule set the standard) were out in force, fielding four teams. The girls made it it a convincing win beating the Germany's Martini team by 15 1/100ths. There was a notable gap to the teams behind, which included Team Prokoff, who was over all World Cup winner last season.

The competition was well organised and the girls would like to give thanks to the competition organizer Peter Rieger.
The next push competition is the World Push Champs in Leipzig on 2nd July 2004. Both are feeling confident and want to give special thanks to Toni Minichiello for their training programmes.
