Nicola's timing is now in medal winning form - she manages to squeeze every last minute out of her snooze without missing a meal...

The rest of the Team awoke at different times throughout the day as the traveling to and from Turin took its toll.

After lunch the men's 4-man team began a warm up for crew pushing. They arrived at the push track and put the runners on the sled. With the sled on the ice, the driver and crew put their ice spikes on, Paul got ready with the video camera and Dean was watching the men's pushing positions. It was a meticulous and fruitful exercise with plenty of information gathered and then fed back to the athletes. Dean showed Shiner how to change his position and push through the bar without rising - looking for those magic hundredths.

On the first run Dan "Rhino" Humphries didn't get the brakes on as early as usual and according to Shiner the 4-man sled "took a trip down the local town".

For the girls much of the day was taken up with washing clothes, getting organized and "chilling". The afternoon involved another session at 5.30 - preparing the body to race at that time, and then of course preparing the sleds for the morning session.

Tomorrow is the first time the four man combination will take to the ice and Shiner is full of anticipation for "a fun day".
